Grace Your Front Room With a Comfortable And Stylish Eames Chair

My idea of success is working out of an Eames armchair. At the moment I am tucked away into a corner of a bedroom in a tiny house where I am not sure if my cell phone is going to get enough signal to receive phone call from a client. My husband is in the other room and even with headphones on, I can hear his music production efforts. My cat Liger is meowing at me, demanding that I turn on the bathroom sink for her and knocking my phone off of the nightstand in protest.

Yes, an eames chairs, with an ottoman that would be the start. Charles Eames’ chair was made for the highly productive, yet very cool, relaxed, comfortable business person. Molded plywood would encase the sumptuous black leather padding my toned, successful behind. My desk would be tasteful and simple, sleek even, to go with the chair Eames designed just for me, it seems, even so long ago.

Poolside, which would be even better. Maybe a reconfigured potting shed with a removable convertible wall so I could let the glittering sunlight reflect off of the crystal blue water and dapple me and my Eames chair and ottoman while I made important decisions between cooling dips. I believe I will wear a bikini to work, and I’ll be 15 pounds lighter. The only reason I can think of that I am fast as I wish is that my stress is causing an overproduction of cortisol, known to keep fat clinging to the female body like mold on cheese. Yes, the stress of not having a private, quiet poolside convertible office of reconfigured potting shed, decorated in shabby-chic, a sleek desk, and an Eames armchair is keeping me from the perfect beach body that I know is hiding in there somewhere.

It has to be there, I saw it when I was eighteen. Of course, when I was eighteen, I wouldn’t have appreciated good office chairs, Eames or otherwise. All I wanted was a job where I didn’t get sexually harassed. My much older bosses sat on Eames chairs with their feet up and asked me to dinner and concerts. That’s how confident an Eames armchair makes a successful business person. No worries about that now.

So what happens when a furniture designer spends all of his time experimenting with plywood? I’ll tell you what happens… the Herman Miller funky chairs! Charles Eames had help during his experiments, mainly his wife Ray and a fellow who’s name you may recognize – Eero Saarinen. When they presented one of their concepts to Herman Miller and received a very positive reaction, they realized that they had finally done it. The Herman Miller Eames chair achieves luxury and elegance while at the same time appealing to the masses. This look was accomplished by curving just one piece of plywood, which is an amazing feat all by itself!

So now that you have the back story, you need to be aware of a couple more things. I highly recommend ordering your Herman Miller Eames chair on the internet, but you have to be on the lookout for fake imitations.
